Though I had to cut out 2 paragraphs. Yep, it’s still pretty long, I’d rather spell it out once than have people asking me dumb questions about a cat that clearly needs some work.

For those that missed it: I blew the HG on the Jaaag by trying to drive it with a taped coolant line. Stupid, stupid stupid. I could replace the HG but frankly I’d rather just try and get something else entirely even if it’s another x308, I don’t blame Jaguar at all, this was all me and I screwed up a fairly reliable car. Oh well, lesson learned.

How hard is a head gasket change on one of these? I’m guessing it’s easiest as an engine pull repair? I’d offer my E34 wagon for trade, but Oregon is a bit of a drive from Indianapolis.

It’s really not too bad, I haven’t heard of anyone having to pull the engine fortunately, though it would definitely make it easier, I wouldn’t want to be the one who had to disconnect the wiring harness. But after rebuilding the front of the engine I really don’t want to do the top end. Though any car I end up with will more than likely need a good chunk of work. I’ve just mostly lost interest.

Oregon is indeed quite a drive. I do love e34 tourings though.
